Privacy policy

Daily Puzzle Launcher is a local browser extension for organizing and opening daily puzzle websites. It does not operate a backend service and does not transmit, sell, or share user data with the developer or third parties.
Information processed locally
The extension processes the following information only on the user's device:
- Playlist names, puzzle names and URLs, puzzle order, enabled state, daily completion status, and interface preferences. This information is stored in Chrome's local extension storage.
- Configured and open puzzle-tab URLs and tab activity needed to identify supported puzzle pages, focus an existing puzzle tab, and avoid unnecessary duplicate tabs. This information is not retained as general browsing history or sent anywhere.
- Playlist JSON that the user explicitly imports from a file or pastes into the review box. It is validated locally and stored only if the user confirms the import.
- A custom puzzle site's origin only when the user adds that site and grants the requested site access. This access is used to display the Daily Puzzle Launcher controls on that puzzle page.
The extension does not inspect puzzle answers, page text, form entries, cookies, account credentials, or payment information.
Data sharing and remote services
Daily Puzzle Launcher has no analytics, advertising, tracking, accounts, or developer-operated servers. It does not share extension data with third parties. Navigation to a puzzle website is a normal browser visit governed by that website's own privacy policy.
Retention and deletion
Local extension data remains on the user's device until it is changed, Chrome clears it, or the extension is removed. Users can export playlists before removing the extension.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide the extension's user-facing puzzle queue, progress, import, overlay, and tab-management features.
